The animation will be connected to the thematic menu. After being dressed in costume, the children will meet characters who will help them relive wonderful adventures connected to particular banquets, where the story and emotions will also involve vision and taste. The themes we have chosen are associated with the best fairy-tales and adventures.
We are in a French inn in the year 1615. Some gentlemen are discussing the legendary life of Hernán Cortés on Aztec soil. Many of them are unsure about the drink called chocolate that Queen Ann of Austria, the Spanish Infante, wishes to introduce to the French Court. A Dutch adventurer, a rich ship-owner, enters. His wealth amounts to more than 20 sailing ships and he has been an excellent sailor. A big discussion starts about sea adventures and the delicious foods found overseas, when an announcement is made that the innkeeper, whose sister is a cook at the Court, has had a son. A big celebration starts. Cakes come readily from the kitchen for all the customers, accompanied by strange, steaming cups and black pastries: the Spanish fashion just introduced to the Court becomes part of the customs of ordinary people and a legend is born!
We are in England, during the reign of Richard the Lionheart. He is returning from a battle where the valiant knights faced an army. The group pauses to rest at an inn and a minstrel tells the tales of the forest. The host improvises a banquet of succulent salad dishes and buns, crispy biscuits, almond sweetmeats, jam tarts, sweetbreads and spiced bread, large cream puffs and, of course, the fabled Royal tart, naturally accompanied by hot tea and milk.
For a magic touch, the tables are laid with tarts made with whipped cream and fruit, frothy and smooth cream, puff pastries, sugared almonds, candied fruit, cream puffs, strawberry and sour cherry syrups, vanilla and fruit soufflé, plaited sweets, gianduia tart and milk and honey meringue.
Cost € 30.00 per child, including refreshments, animation and costumes. For every 15 children one adult will be admitted free, with a minimum of 2 per group. Additional adults will pay € 35.00. |
